We shoot a lot of senior sessions in the summer with clients from all over the US. Our object in these sessions is to really capture the personality of the senior. There is so much more than just the beach to set up as our backdrop. We love to take clients to the sound, local coffees shops, docks, the maritime forest, local landmarks, etc. Daniel and Stef, our summer associate, have worked hard this summer to give a fresh creative look to our senior sessions and really bring out each individual personality. Here are samples from two recent shoots.

summer+beach+family=fun portrait sessions!

Once schools get out for summer vacation in June, our family portrait season kicks in. This past month we were fully booked with family sessions, senior sessions, and we could not have done it without the awesome help of our two summer interns/associates Stefanie and Benny. These guys rock. We’ll be posting about them soon as well:)

We totally enjoy family beach sessions. Mostly because our goal is to keep everyone relaxed, playful, and happy… and that isn’t very hard to do when you are at the beach! This year we have seen a lot of variety in outfits, location choice, and our clients are coming up with really creative ideas for their session. A majority of our clients are also repeat clients– which is awesome– it is a huge complement to us, but it is equally as exciting that we get to see families as they grow:) Here are a few shots from two family sessions in Nags Head. Congratulations to John & Sabrina!

They were married at Our Lady of the Seas Church in Buxton last Saturday.

We’ve had several posts with Josh and Sabrina over the past year, from their engagement shoot, sabrina’s bridals, pics from their photobooth at the wedding, and now we wanted to share a few of our favorites from their photographers’ preview. Words can’t describe how elegant and perfect their day was. So, really, I’m not going to try. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!-k

Four years ago we decided that it was time to add a custom photobooth to our service list. With studio lighting, photo backdrop, and an arsenal of props, we wanted to upgrade the traditional photo booth with professional photos, quality 4×6 prints for guests, and custom design, to create an experience that becomes part of the party itself. Each photo booth has been one-of-a-kind, mainly because each wedding lends itself to a certain style & energy. This past weekend, we had fun with Sabrina, Josh, and their wedding party guests in Hatteras. There is something freeing about putting on a costume and getting your picture taken…:) Here are a few pics from the photo booth.
